CDS Satorin is so cute...
Honestly, I don't think the manga portrayed her badly. This is just one vengeful spirit that was hard to handle, and the complete failure of the surface youkai to deal with her shows how difficult they are to control. While she did take some time to catch MiMi, victory was only possible due to her dedication and her plan. We already knew that she was weak in physical fights, so it's not a surprise she struggled. But she did show how she's able to cooperate and generally be trusted by the surface youkai, and her calm personality and cute reactions are exactly what I would expect of her.
