He's not Italian.
He's been uncapable of replying properly every time he was talked to in Italian both here and in private, and what little Italian he did attempt sounded broken up and unnatural.
He's either faking having anything to do with Italy altogether, or he's some sort of nigger living in Italy, but without a full grasp on the language.

Or maybe he's just mentally damaged in some way, as his theory shows.
If he was Italian and of sound mind, it wouldn't be so jarring to interact with him in his supposed mother tongue.

I just read Our Confession for the first time.
As someone who never quite managed to "solve" any of the games, that bit about reading the manuscript pretty much disqualifying you from ever reaching the truth hit hard.

The bit about finding "The third story" she was writing wasn't exactly new either...though I don't know if it's something as simple as Beatrice wanting to show her guilt, and the lengths she went to to "punish" the lack of love in people's hearts.
The bit about how Beatrice herself couldn't understand that there's love in every heart is probably just about Battler, right? The way her belief that it was a lack of love that caused everything, and how it ended up warping her to that point.

Did Beatrice realize her folly at the very end, and wrote "that third story", her desire to be understood? I'm sure it can't be that simple.
