The problem with GPT-3 and similar right now is that they are fundamentally extraordinary paraphrasing machines, that's ok for a regular chatbot since you don't care how they answer you, only that the answer is correct (if I ask a question and it brings me a restructured wikipedia section then the goal is complete) and each question is more or less independent (no complex persisting context). But as a waifu, it means it will have no mannerisms and no memory. Even if your waifu has a 1000 hours VN to train (or something you made), the pretrained nature of the GPT-3 means it will only record the overall meaning of the dialogue, and can bring back in any way (for example exchanging all the words your waifu commonly use for synonyms). And most importantly, nothing you do will have any effect on her being outside of training again. I don't think it's worth it right now.
