There's been quite a few foreign male talents in jav though, dating back decades. They've just been phased out/died/got kicked out the country. Newfags think gaijin jav is something that just popped up but it's been going on for quite a while. Magnum isn't really anything special. There was even a white guy who made some waves early last decade.

It was more of a thing in the late 00's early 10's but even then still more niche than blacked. It faded out eventually. Japornxxx is trying to restore the feeling though.
