Against the demon army, just hold out and stall. After a while there will be a timeskip a few months ahead, after which the demon army is significantly weakened and you get a couple of provinces of breathing space.

I assume a creature of Ran's age and power would have quite a lot pride. Isn't it rather shameful for Ran to serve Yukari? We probably can put up the whole Yukari vs Ran series as a good example for that. Are there any records in mythology out there of such creatures serving other beings?
