“...The hell is a werediaper?” Rikako asked herself.

With the ticking time bomb that was Mima escaping her sealage, the sciencehead had started looking into many different books from Suzunaan about weird & supernatural phenomena. Kind of a dumb non-sequitur considering that they're living in Gensokyo of all places but if it has to come to this then it comes to this. Besides, this was a pretty entertaining read. Did you know that apparently there's this girl called “Rin Satsuki” who hypothetically is supposed to exist but nobody can concretely confirm that she does because her presumed ability is to “Never Appear in any Official Media”?. Or that there’s supposedly a sentient living Yin-Yang orb residing in the Rainbow Dragon Cave that prefers being called “Jimbo”. Wicked stuff honestly. Glad to see there are at least SOME trustworthy people like Kosuzu still around in such dire times.

“Let’s see… Bakebake, Kappa, AHA! Vengeful Spirits. Let's see… aaaaaand it’s nothing substantial. DAMNIT!” Rikako was pissed. This was the THIRD book in a row she's rented out and still NOTHING on how to properly deal with something like Mima-sama. Hell, nothing on Powerful Spirits in general. If she remembers correctly, that phantom was involved in about 4 different incidents back to back before she disappeared and you mean to tell her that a fetus who can stack stones takes priority in getting added to the detailed history books? It’s like somebody just erased it all from history, wiped squeaky clean. But if that’s the case then how come she still remembers everything as clear as day? It just doesn’t make any sense.

“Good Evening, Asakura-san.”

Rikako turns around, ever so slightly startled, to be greeted by Ruukoto. She was holding Lemontene in her arm like a football and was very clearly distressed about something. Well, as distressed as a glorified roomba can be. The hell?

“Hello again!” Lemontene awkwardly greeted the scientist. Clearly she wasn’t expecting this either.

“...shoot, did I forget a scheduled meeting or something? What brings you down here instead of cleaning, Ruukoto? And why’d you bring ‘Tene?”

“I believe It’s time.” The maid replied.

“...Go on.”

>Also you say non-canon but hasn't she been putting chemicals in the lemonade the entire time?
it's more non-canon because I don't remember anywhere she eating the toxic materials she'd use; also the things I used are so over the top -- fucking asbestos; lead and mustard gas --, that I doubt Rikako would actually use any of them in the lemonade
