There was intermittant drama on MGR years ago that it's not so much KC going hugboxier as it was the TRANSLATIONS going hugboxier.

Basically the situation was that the guy who pays for all the translations was a giant hugbox/waifufag, and (despite him not knowing a word of Moon) he was instructing the translator which terms to use if ever there was the slightest ambiguity in the Japanese. Unsurprisingly, the published translation then tended to contain the hugbox-iest possible interpretation.

And while I haven't been on MGR in years, I have no reason to think this practice has changed, sooooo...
