Have to see it less about getting dumped and more like getting a rival.

If a company or a game has a monopoly over everything and is uncontested in their domain then why spend resources and effort in trying to improve yourself when you can just do the bare minimum to keep everyone happy? Not like they have anywhere else to turn to. On the other side, if there's competition to pit yourself against then you have to put some effort in trying to stomp it or not get left behind by them.

So what I'm saying is that if this other boat game takes off and stays up there in popularity, it'll actually be good because it'll give these people a run for their money and a real reason to get off their asses and improve themselves and their game.
