That's a tough one but Umineko edges out more to me due to liking the setting and themes more, since I love closed room mysteries and I fucking love the magical aspect. It has setting I really love and I also love the heart of the story a ton. This is not to say I don't like Higurashi, I also love Higurashi but Umineko just speaks to me more.
