With an increasing amount of both official and unofficial translations of visual novels, over the next couple years fan translations and official translations will likely begin to conflict. With MangaGamer releasing Higurashi, it is a case of an official translation releasing something that a fan translation has already made significant progress, however this should not interfere with MangaGamer's release of Higurashi. However, it is likely that in the near future some company will license something that already has a full translation, had the Shuffle project actually finished, it would have been a good example of this.
