My dude, read the second paragraph here >>43093264, it covers both Rika remembering (she's retarded) and not remembering (plot convenience). And don't point the "there's no evidence for what you said" when there's no evidence that Rika remembers in the first place which is what this >>43085957 post was claiming in the previous thread to defend Rika's stupidity. Why wouldn't you think the absence of evidence of Rika remembering matter more than the opposite if Rika keeps making the same dumb mistakes without remembering the common factors of each knockout? Sure as hell would make sense for this detective who's trying to escape death but guess that's too much to ask. Gou was our perspective of her and we saw that she just kept waking up close to death everytime, to claim there's missing scenes (which we now know there are, we just don't know for sure if Rika remembers them) is not only dishonest, but if it were true, it'd be terrible writing since you're deliberately hiding things your protagonist saw from your reader back in Gou.

Also the chapter was translated and, sure enough, the whole gaslight plot came to Satoko in the spur of the moment at the end of the loop before the gutting. That entire Nekodamashi torture montage that came before? Pointless, it was all Satoko's sadism instead of having a purpose like in the anime. I'm pretty sure this wouldn't be this issue wouldn't exist if Tomato made his own story instead of trying to force the manga to match the anime for no reason. Almost like he came up with the idea of Meguri way too late during the Gou manga and is now is in a fucking mess trying to tie all the loose ends together (which he failed to accomplish), hence the weird ass abrupt decisions like Satoko deciding to gaslight Rika at the very last moment or Rika inexplicably remembering the gaslight loop, which also Satoko knew would happen this time somehow.

That last part, you absolutely cannot tell me that wasn't Tomato trying to match the manga with the anime no matter how forced it could look. This manga is a mess with no identity of its own anymore.
