>Is the opening act a full setlist or just like 5 songs?

What?

This isn't them opening for Lady Gaga, it's a solo show so there is no opening act, they are the main act and it's a full setlist like the ones they played in Europe.

>They don't even try to make the vocals sound metal

That's the entire point.

I grew up listening to Slayer on cassette tape and nothing but metal & punk for nearly two decades and you know what? All that hardcore temper tantrum grim and darkness bullshit gets really old really fast.

Metal, as a whole, is no fun at all and takes itself way too seriously. The lyrics are always full of the same impotent rage and nihilistic angst and the vocals are either "I just stubbed my toe and I'm yelling because I'm very angry" or "Cookie Monster eating the microphone in slow-motion".

Metalheads are probably the worst aspect of the metal genre, they're infinitely more snobbish and try-hard than any hipster; always trying to out-brutalize each other and acting like they're the ultimate authority of what is or isn't brutal enough.

Anyways, before I end up writing an entire book about how metalheads are sad cunts and metal is music for sad cunts, I'll just say that Babymetal manages to make the impossible happen, make metal fun and make pop music different.

Yeah I definitely will actually.

Even if they weren't playing another show in Montreal, they would probably play in Toronto and it would end up being cheaper for me to get a couple of bus tickets there and back than to buy a ticket for Heavy MTL.
