Everything just feels too same-y.
Video games all feel like they're made off the same template with slightly different looking character designs.
Movies all contain the same collections of tropes, camera angles, acting style, and lines.
Books all feel like ripoffs of each other except with different character names.
Buildings all just look the same.
Last weekend I went on a trip to several towns in Michoacan (central Mexico), and all of the churches, markets, town squares, etc. looked like stuff I'd all seen elsewhere throughout the country and even in Southern Europe and shit. It all feels like it flows from the same fountain.
I sometimes wonder if I should just spend a year looking at a white wall and do absolutely nothing so I can start trying to get my creative juices flowing, but I doubt that'd work. Maybe it'd just weaken them instead. Maybe I'd just hamstring different parts of my memories and pull a big-ass ball of generic "woo" feeling, like, something that should incite a pleasant reaction but that would instead just seem very ordinary in the eyes of any regular person.

Thanks for reading my wall of cringe. Now you can tell me to fuck off or to "kys".
