Ended up using 2 diamonds which isn't a big deal since the quest gives 50. Not sure if it's possible without Mea's 2nd skill though. The tank counter ability pretty much did most of the damage(~5-7k a hit).

Some random guy did join and saved me some diamonds/time since he did about the same damage as me.
