That made into headlines and ruining the whole image, leading people like you and me to believe or speculate on how much the industry is affected from few scant of data and news out there. Only take some scandals to brought something big down.

Making porn empire and get rich from it isn't dream? I'm talking about the likes of that Toru Muranishi guy who got his own Netflix dramatization. He's no Yakuza, he was just an ex-book salesman. Yes it was for money, but I want to differentiate people like him or that SOD founder who just want to make porn for themselves, with studios or agencies that is just hollow front for Yakuza money-laundering with the products as just afterthought (like you think everything there is).
