My sister has a daughter, and after she turns 12 my sister and the father tragically die. I know have to look after my niece. she moves to japan with me where she does not know the language or have any friends, she heavily relies on me, then we fall in love and after she turns 18 we get married.

dude it has been almost 9 months, im not going back. plus i have learned the truth on how useless anki was to begin with. I remember words much more easily now than when i used anki by a large factor. plus i got an email from anki saying they deleted my account due to inactivity.

It is not reading as reading means you are enjoying compelling content while mining is actively looking for words. It is a meta task, I promise if you do not mine your comprehension will automatically go up by like 5%.

Why?
You are just wasting time what is the difference between an english word that gives you the gist and a japanese sentence you barely understand. You are supposed to look up a word to get an idea of it and use context to deduce more nuance. A japanese definition takes much longer and gives 0 benefit.

I swear the iq of this thread has gone down by like 20 points the last month or so.
