rin was my first exposure into idolm@ster a few years ago. i saw a thread with a nice-looking girl in OP and people just kept posting her.
i just had to know her name and find out more about her. i felt everything about her was perfect -- her hair, her eyes, her body overall, her height, the design of her uniform, and i loved all the different kinds of fan art.
as i started to try to get into it the series for her, i downloaded the anime. few episodes in, she was nowhere to be seen. i asked, on 4chan, where rin was, and they told me that i download the original series like a faggot. so i downloaded CG, took in a bunch of manga, and read gekijou multiple times. i loved all of it -- and all of them.
but then rin started taking a backseat as i discovered new idol girls. i even found her a little boring during her skits and cinderella radio interviews (it was before people knew rin had a side of her that allowed her to join in on the playful nao-bullying).
but then i realized that most of the other girls just came and went, and i always looked back at rin without even knowing until i recently realized that i kept going back to her. there's just something about her. rin is timeless.
i also came to the conclusion only a few days ago that she's my favorite idol girl from the entire series.

Rin has already taken over Chihaya's place so why does she even exist?
