Alright my other thread has been off for a while, time to be obnoxious again.

So I have a bunch of OC material in the works because I needed something to do to familiarize myself with Gensokyo and political dynamics within it. So I decided to do the DUMB thing and make a Human. Not some random youkai or god, some mere human. And things spiralled out from there because... Important character means they need to stand out and not immediatrly die.

Details. Of course a woman in Touhou, nothing unusual. Farmer, again nothing high-profile. But there is something that's a few steps above a mere peasant and propels her into 'maybe important'; She can homestead. Yeah this doesn't seem like it's worth a damn, but this is actually huge. Not only does that mean she can make meals and preserve her harvests, but she can even do some home repairs and work her body. And add into that the benefits of having some money while growing food... Again, this doesn't seem like much at first, but it gets to be useful.

So what the hell does basic carpentry, canned food, and a healthy body get you? A stand in the market for one. Selling your goods means you have income. Even if you can live off basic stuff, people aren't always content with that. They want flavor. They want the good stuff. And canned goods are the good stuff, not just to humans, but even some youkai. Sure, they can eat fear and belief... But have you ever given a Kappa a jar of pickles? It's not just cucumber, it's a cure for their salt deficiency, and that's huge. That could potentially earn you a very solid foothold with them, which in turn means you can wind up becoming a major supplier and earner. And not just that, it's entirely possible to establish business connections with them in order to upgrade your farming equipment and save huge amounts of time sowing and harvesting.

And that's not even including the potential of getting a kappa girlfriend or a kappa grade weapon or even flying machine out of the deal, meaning you can even defend yourself from Youkai. Not just with connections, but with the gun you now own. Sure, you could threaten them with status and the potential issue of 'you just killed the person keeping Reimu stocked on food'. That's also a genius move. But there's still a chance you might need to fight regardless. Plus, if you get good at Danmaku, you might even earn some other benefits and respect. Who knows? Maybe you'll even become the single most dangerous human without powers in Gensokyo. All thoughts I had about this farmer girl.
