it's super easy to plateau with planks because you cant really load them. isometric exercises are kinda shit in general, i'd only do them as an add on. also there will be no stretch on the abs. decline situps, hanging leg raises, eccentric dragon flag, ab rollout and stomach vacuums are superior in strenghtening your abs and some can be varied to provide more rotation to train the obliques. but the most important thing to see the abs is having low bf%.
