Kanako is the best goddess for the following reasons:
1. She looks the part. Sanae and Suwako, while great in their own right, just don't seem very godlike. Kanako on the other hand is both beautiful and demands respect. You can feel devotion to Kanako deep in your heart and know it is well placed.
2. She is a shrine herself. The buildings are not what makes a shrine, but a sacred object itself, often times marked by shimenawa. Her wearing a shimenawa just means that she should be worshiped any place, anytime.
3. She is dedicated to her station. Suwako and Sanae do their part, but that's because Suwako needs faith to exist and Sanae is following orders. Kanako is the brains of the operation, and while things don't always go perfectly, there is no doubt that Moriya Shrine has become more successful because of her.
4. Kanako is cool! She's really strong and has cool powers and onbashira are really cool too! Better than the little girl with big rings.
5. Kanako has extremely practical and useful abilities. Did you know she built Myouren Temple in one night?
6. Unlike Suwako, faith in her is rewarded by blessings rather than simply not being cursed.
7. Kanako is a divine spirit, meaning she somehow earned divinity as opposed to Suwako being one of the myriad gods which means she simply exists as a god. Sanae is a living god, and is fairly powerless on her own.
