The thing with using the argument of "ZUN never stopped it so he doesn't mind" is that it doesn't automatically equate to "ZUN never stopped it SO IT MUST BE CANON AAAABSOCKIRFRER". He didn't stop Futo's brown hair. The reason is irrelevant, it happened and it happened under his watch. Are you going to start spamming that Futo has chameleon abilities which are CANON? With your logic, you could - it doesn't matter that nothing supports such a thing except an erroneous detail which is only consistent with itself. He works with different artists on different manga because different manga have different tone and the different art is suited to that different tone. YOU FUCKING SAID THIS YOURSELF. It has fuck-all to do with character designs, which are consistent between all three manga barring, again, minor details and Moe trying to feel like a special snowflake by altering ZUN's Aya design. And do you want to know what's even better? VFiS and WaHH's take on Aya is actually consistent with ZUN's. You know, the guy that actually designed all of these characters. ZUN has never drawn Aya with wings (there's some consistency for you), Hirasaka has never drawn Aya with wings, Aya has never drawn Aya with wings.

Last thread there was an anon saying Aya was worse than Cirno and after 1cc'ing HSiFS as Aya with all the seasons (as well as clearing Extra), I can say I disagree. Her speed can come in handy (like when you have to rush over to the PoC and back) and she's evidently not the weakest is since I could capture the spellcards that I couldn't capture as Cirno.
