We're in the final arc now it should be over I'm guessing early 2024, I reccomend giving it a read theory crafting about who the culprit(s) are is pretty fun plus it's actually really good all signs points towards Keiichi and Satoko being the second culprits plus the kids are actually fun to read especially Sakiko and Keitarou and their relationship I also really like Inori!

Sorry to break it to you anons but Reiwa isn't some generic anime otaku shit it is a real and fleshed out story like in real life. This is a story about reevaluating our images of the original Higurashi cast with Keitarou practilicy worshipping the ground his father works on and How Sakiko prides herself on being a Kimiyoshi and the daughter of Kisaku. Yet, it's already been confirmed that Sakiko isn't the biological daughter of Kisaku and that there are two sets of culprits with one Killing Keiichi, Rika, and Mion, and the other killing Kisaku and his assistant. The culprits in this story are Kisaku and Keiichi/Satoko and unlike with Kisaku Keiichi and Satoko will be parasite free when they murder Kisaku. Kisaku has been shown suffering from the virus but not keiichi nor Satoko so why would they murder him? Simple, to finally be together and to be a familiy once again with his daughter Sakiko and his son Keitarou. This will force Sakiko and Keitarou to reevaluate their entire image of their father and if there core beliefs hold any value after seeing the truth behind the men who taught them.

And this is just one part of the story you still have Polaris and Inori and the other club members, the story is a million times better written than Gou/sotsu/meguri and written with genuine heart instead of a shitty character assinsting cash grab Shitsu and Goutshit was.

It is though, We finally starting the see what's going on in this story with Satoko constant suspicious actions with Kisaku death and how she called Keiichi first when Kisaku went missing in the loop where Rika was killed but didn't care in the loop where he and his assistant were the victims and not to mention how Keiichi sees mass migration to the village as a good thing not really caring about how the villagers feel about it and how he essentially has complete control over the village with him controlling Kisaku and forcing him to accept the Polaris people or else he won't make the village a World heritage site.

They might do that for Kisaku but they won't do it for Keiichi since he hasn't even been to the village long enough to get the parasites so he will face the full consequences for his actions and explain his motives for killing Kisaku which will bring us to the Sakiko explanation.

The new Generation of kids were raised together and see each other as siblings really and with Inori being Keitarous romance a romance within the group wouldn't make sense but with the parents I'm completely certain Keiichi fucked either Mion or Satoko with the most likely option being Satoko since they keep on having scenes with Sakiko calling Keitarou her little brother and the constant parreles between the two
