Honestly, Ange really is overall a horrible piece of shit loser and is definitely the second culmination of the Ushiromiya family's sins right next to the Rokkenjima Massacre. Eva overfeeding her, Yasu killing everyone and giving her attachment issues, St. Lucia's bullying her and Maria leaving her diary all culminates the disgusting fat fuck that is 1998 Ange.
Seriously, think about it for a second. Not only is she a fat loser, but she also has gay fujo fantasies of her older brother. Isn't that just the most repugnant thing a person can do? In all seriousness, I think there’s a very good chance that Ange was attracted to her brother in a romantic and possibly even sexual sense. However, I think that was mostly due to her circumstances rather than her personal feelings. Ange’s emotional development seemed to stagnate at the age of 6 after her family died. At such a young age she most likely hadn’t learned to distinguish between different types to love. To add to this, Battler hadn’t been living with them as a member of her family. This meant that while he was someone with whom she was familiar with and had a strong emotional connection, there was also some distance between them that kept her from becoming disillusioned with him. This led to her having an idealized image of Battler.

After the incident, Ange had very few positive relationships, which is why she clung so strongly to her memories of Battler and Maria, whom she had been closest with back when she was 6. As she went through puberty and started experiencing new forms of attraction, the image of Battler in her head was likely the only possible outlet for them.

By the time she was 18 it was clear that Ange had developed some abnormal form of attraction to Battler. Due to the way the story played out however, these feelings never became a major issue, so their true nature and extent remains uncertain. That being said, I think that after maturing over the course of the series Ange was finally able to get over Battler and love him as a sister normally would.
