You're gonna hear a lot no from /v/ fags in this thread but It's actually a pretty decent adaptation of the book. The only thing they really changed was expanding on Yennefer's early life as a sorceress-in-traning and a couple of things with Ciri's early life. Didn't care for it.

But being that it's a prequel to the games, it is technically a way to get into the games but the series is still incomplete. I do highly recommend reading the books more than anything though, they're great.
