Well, I'll admit that to an extent I'm guilty-as-charged a bit and confess there's an element of "stop NOT liking what I do like" in there.

But once upon a time the only people who liked mgs were ones who fapped to out-and-out reverse rape, hard femdom, and male mindbreak. Whether you think it's a good thing or a bad thing is up to you, but you'd be hard-pressed to simply deny that the character of the fandom has shifted massively since then. Now it's predominantly cuddles, waifus, and daughterus, with a smattering of Jolly Adventure thrown in there too.

I just wonder exactly HOW the influx of EMG-TV fans is going to skew the focus this next time, though. If I had to make a wager, it's be that we'll edge out of "cute 'n' heartwarming monogamy" territory and into a more unashamedly sexual "I would fuk all da bitchez and becom da harem king, MUH DICK" territory.
