AKB48's "future" the pure Oguri~ "I feel like I can fly when I'm on the swing while looking up at the sky"
- At last, Oguri Yui-san's 16 years old now.
Oguri: Yes, I just turned 16 last December 26.

- Oh, it's the day after Christmas. Do you receive your presents altogether?
Oguri: Let's see, last year I received 2 separate lip makeups from my family. A little expensive, something that I cannot usually buy myself.

- By the way, now that you're 16. When did you stop believing in Santa?
Oguri: A friend at school ask me back then "Santa's not here, right?". Then, we also have a room in our house with tatami where I don't usually go to and saw a bunch of presents. "What's this" I thought, Did Mom bought it for me? Then comes Christmas morning and there I saw the same bag of presents.

- Oh, Mom. She sure puts up a fighting spirit on hiding it a bit.
Oguri: My Mom is Santa-san! But I was vaguely aware of that before.
My friend said that "If I prepare candies and carrots for Santa's reindeer, he'll read my letter. So, I got carrots from Mom, prepared the candies and letter. But when I woke up in the morning.

- Oops
Oguri:"Ehh, why..>? My friend said Santa would take it... I also told my Mom that "I left it there, but it's still there." I was like "Oh, I see." then put the carrots back.

- I'm pretty sure that it was at Oguri Family's Table that day (lol)
Oguri: I also did the same thing the next year, but it is still there. Maybe Mom didn't realize that it was addressed to Santa and I also forgot what I wrote back then.

- When was that "carrot incident" Christmas?
Oguri: Around 5-6 years old

- Eh? You mean you still believed in Santa during junior school? Since Oguri-san joined AKB48 Team8 at the end of elementary school and you still believed at that time!
Oguri: Yup, I talked to my friend talk about it "There's no Santa" I was probably the only one that talked about it at junior school, since everyone's like "What's the Christmas gift that you have received from your mom?" The atmosphere back then is like "Santa does not exist". Then I thought that next Christmas, I'll surely find the presents in the Tatami room. It was during my 2nd year at junior school when I realized that.

- How cute!, you still believe in Santa at 8th Grade. Because most 2-3 years old usually already knew the truth.
Oguri: Ehhh? That early?

- How about your elder brother and sister?
When we're still small It reminded me of the time when we're asking each other "What did you received?." Maybe they've already noticed. But cared about me and didn't tell that "Mom is Santa".. They also give off the feeling that they really believed.

- Your Brother is really good (lol) What kind of girl was Oguri-san back then?
Oguri: When I was still small, I was really active and often stumbled. So, I got lots bandages on my feet. And I wanted to do anything like when Mom will water the flowers and when she'll cook. I always volunteered to do it.
Back in elementary, I usually play tag or dodgeball with boys and girls. But when Junior School came, they don't like to play a mix game with boys and girls anymore. So I invited some of my girl' friends "Let's go play outside", they refused cause they'll get sunburned.
