To add to this, she didn't look uncomfortable in the US part of the 2017 shows. Once you start watching Fox Festivals and Big Fox Festival proshot specifically is when you see her not happy and comfortable as her usual self on stage, there's a lag in her step, and she's not on top of her game.

She clearly did not want to be part of Babymetal anymore. But such a decision was not made in the absence of other conditions and circumstances. Otherwise why would she take a one-year long hiatus and keep herself, Babymetal and everybody involved in limbo this whole time?

Both the Amuse and her own statements made it apparent that her intention was to come back, and she and everybody involved with Babymetal were preparing for it, but in the end, she couldn't do it and chose to withdraw.
