You are not correct. There are standards of judgment for art and literature. You can say they're related to neuroscience if you like but I know nothing on that subject, all I studied was art.

If you like something like 'school nurse' it simply shows that you're poorly educated. If you took the time to study you'd find that Dickens is much more rewarding than trash romance novels.

Don't play for hours on end
Take breaks. Your fingers and mind need rest.
Drink plenty of water

Identify which bullets aren't and are aimed at you. The latter can be dodged by simple tapping a (logical) direction.
Always remember to bomb, especially if you're feeling under pressure.
Use practice mode. The more you practice the earlier stages the more lives you'll have to clear the later ones.
Don't play on easy mode if you actually want to get good.
Don't concentrate solely on the area of your character. You should be looking at various areas of the screen depending on where it needs your attention. This should come naturally.
Are you trying different characters and shot types?
Don't just stick to one game. Playing other bullet hell games (not just Touhou) can help develop skills, tricks and increase your twitch-dodging reactions.
Learn the layout of the stages. You can cut out a lot of enemy projectiles during the stage portion if you already know where the enemies will spawn,
If you're using a narrow shot type, don't fuck about lingering at the bottom not following the boss - you're not doing any damage and you're just prolonging the length of the spell card, which just means you're more likely to get hit.
Don't expect to be good quickly. Anything needs times to develop, and some people need more time than others.If you're getting frustrated or your patience is wearing thin, it's time to stop playing for now.

Off the top of my head. So it's not in any order.

EoSD is a good game to start with. A lot of the cards are twitch based and not being able to see your hitbox (unless you're using optional patches, you pussy) will mean you won't rely too much on it. Rather, you'll gain a sense of where you are and where the hitbox much better and you can focus on the bullets instead.
