Because print media is a dying dinosaur and their relationship with babymetal's rising popularity was a symbiotic relationship. Kobe beef gets exposure in the metal world and Babymetalheads throw their money at whatever desperate random magazine they're featured in. You sometimes get a defective 2x4 poster too

It was originally a side project between Suzanne and the Kami Boyz, before branching off and becoming a full band

>but it's laughable you really believe that's what's going on with BM

Not even him, and it doesn't have to be compared to video games either. If a food review magazine kept featuring exclusive interviews with a popular chef and putting him on the cover, I would take their review of his brand-new restaurants with a grain of salt, pun not intended.

Besides the main issues isn't so much the indirectely-paid reviews, it's really their sound changing overnight. For better or for worse.

hey man, don't hate on entrepreneurship. It's Amuse's fault for not being one step ahead of them, and instead releasing defective literal paper posters through 10$ magazines.

same with some of their clothes aka the 250$ dadrock jacket

>Not like they had a real definite one to begin with.

metal j-pop/idol fusion? No?

>what's wrong in wanting to differentiate their sound?

Nothing wrong with it, I can't think of a single band that still has the same sound as their very first album. On the other hand, it usually takes more than just one album to pull a radical 180 in their sound. Usually like two three albums and maybe also 4 or 5 members coming and going in the span of 10 years.

>Akumu no Rondo

That song stood out because it was one of the few serious and straightforward metal songs. Hard to stand out when most of your album is just that.

>Karate, Meta Taro, GJ, Syncopation, Yava! are all "fun" songs.

I disagree.

I didn't say that all positive reviews are bribed reviews, but definitely the most popular ones are the ones who are definitely 100% bribed by Babymetal by way of exclusive deals. Either video interviews or material things like posters.

and on the other hand, trying to stifle or shame people who are critical of the album and are disappointed with it is also dickish.
