For everyone here who thinks the announcement was ambiguous because they're retarded and this won't actually end up affecting 2D art. Think again.
The list of content in that announcement that is going to be banned from Fanbox and PixivRequests is pretty much copy-pasted from VISA's own list of prohibited content in their "Brand Protection and Use of the Visa-owned Marks" section of their TOS. And that section also clarifies that it APPLIES TO DRAWINGS, ARTWORK, COMPUTER GENERATED IMAGES, AND CARTOONS AS WELL.

This new policy is 100% only being instituted because Pixiv is choosing VISA and Mastercard over its own users. Fanza, DMM, and DLsite all told VISA and Mastercard to fuck off when they threatened to cut payment processing over this exact same issue and they're doing just fine.
Pixiv is not the same website that we all grew up with. It's now run by spineless, greedy cowards and their website deserves to fail.
