I love MGE for what it is but it's rather frustrating that you can't really trust most people outside this thread and KC's circle with certain specific exceptions. You can't really just pop up somewhere and ask them about it because normies gonna normie and "non-normies" are not necessarily better either. You might get people who think the girls are hot but finding someone who actually appreciates the point of the setting is a lot harder. Worst case scenario (and quite likely one) you get people who want to "fix" the setting and bring up all the usual bullshit while completely missing the point.
I wish could see some stories/greentexts in my language/culture but my country is probably too insignificant to even have one even if you somehow managed to gather all the people with the right mindset there. English global dominance does have advantages but it can feel frustrating that everything is getting "anglicized" culturally and linguistically and you don't really have a choice if you don't want to miss out.
Still, love this place, this probably has the best MGE community the western side of the fandom (at least when the usual suspects aren't doing their regularly scheduled shitting up of the thread).
