Are the "fictional worlds" things like Ange's books about Sakutaro or the message bottles and forgeries? They exist in a lower plane than the "real world", right? Is there any way to access these worlds if you are a voyager witch? Are they the "book fragments" in Featherine's library? Is Card Captor Sakura one of these worlds?

If there is an endless number of real worlds and they exist below the meta (since the fragments in the meta represent endless possible realities), does that mean that MAGIC exists in some of them? There was clearly magic bullshit happening in Higurashi, so it must be real.

My intepretation of the gameboards is that they exist as fragments in the meta world (because they are possible results of the roulette Yasu created) but they ALSO exist as fiction in the real world. At least the ones we are shown. Meaning that even if the message bottles and the forgeries were fiction in Ange's world, they really happened in the meta. The Ushiromiyas really experienced that stuff in different parallel worlds. The magic side of the gameboard, though, is probably fiction and didn't happen in the meta version of the games.

It's very interesting how the focus of Higurashi is a single consciousness traveling between worlds to find a happy ending, while the focus of Umineko is a particular real world (out of the billions that exist) where Eva survived and Ange's life is shit. It's the complete opposite.
