I think she looks good in some shots, but it's really a combination of two dumb decisions.

-Giving her small eyes compared to the other girls
-Her bangs aren't really straight but follow a round curve, and sometimes animators end up using this curve for her smaller JK eyes.

Mei gave her bigger eyes which solved part of the problem, although the curved bangs are still there and would be an issue with this design was used in animation.
