I'm assuming that you aren't the least bit serious about this, but here are a few pointers:

1: To move to Japan and settle there you'll need probably about 6 months rent up front as move-in fees. Think like a security deposit, but much larger and it's fees not a deposit. Rent is also a great deal higher than what you're probably used to.

2: The overwhelming majority of comic artists do not live off their work. After having proven your skills thoroughly, you might start your 'career' working part time for maybe ¥1000 an hour on a per-peroject basis. In other words, you get some pocket change whenever you're needed - which probably won't be often.

3: If you want to break into the industry then you could just as easily do so from the other side of the world, we have internet now. Getting your work published in a magazine would be an achievable starting goal to aim for if you're serious about it.
