If they are anything like giant slugs (and indeed they are part of the same "shell" family) then its only their ancestral species that were hermaphrodites. They ceased to be so upon the change to monster girls.

I find it funny that it is looking like no member of this "shell" family of monster girl molluscs will actually have a shell, just a note in the profile that they lost it to facilitate sex with humans.
