Many of Polaris' members may have a history of being victims, but Hinamizawa's distaste of them is clearly because of their own extreme isolationism and cold attitudes towards the villagers. You can't be completely dismissive towards your neighbours and treat like like monster who'd taint you if they so much as try to speak with you and be surprised that their attitudes turn sour.

Satoko's former situation is not the least bit comparable. She was blameless in the conflict between Oryou and her parents, but Polaris is just trying to victimize themselves at every turn and blame all outsiders for what happened to them, which doesn't benefit anybody, least of all themselves.
