Kinda. Ryukishi was definitely influenced by classic mystery novels just because of the obvious parallels in the setting and the constant references but I think these are two different kind of "truths" we're being asked to question. With Orient Express and ATTWN we're not asked to question like what truth is itself, but we're instead meant to focus on like the fact that the culprits are lying and so we can't necessarily trust their particular 'truths' so that we/Poirot can have an "Aha!" moment where he/we figure out the one singular truth and we can all feel smart about it. Whereas Umineko's relation to truth is much more epistemic and meta and is about like how we can really even begin to make truth claims and whether or not the truth is even worth knowing in some cases.
