I agree, it's just another level of sophistication and execution. These big studio budgets can sometimes make titles look a bit editorial and almost too clean/high fidelity so I love the pseudo-arthouse cinema direction and aesthetic too (while still being polished).
I also personally don't mind the (over)reliance on the series format at all and enjoy seeing how different actresses in the roster tackle their respective entries
