1) Sure. It helps to safespot her first non too, then you can get into the 1st spell safespot before it starts.
2) Yes. The spell ends so fast and you only have to dodge the orbs from a few umbrellas. Sanae B ends it really fast but she pops all the umbrellas so you might want to do it at the bottom with her if you like, although you can probably be like 90% consistent on the safespot with her anyway.
3) There's a fairly decent amount of space. I always used the visual cue of staying above her sandal and not too far up her skirt.
