Okay guys, I think this might be the best board to ask this. I need to apply for a job position at an exclusively Japanese institution, everyone working there is Japanese and they're looking for a local resident for the job.
I live in Europe and I'd like to know what are do's and dont's in this case. How can I approach the cover letter and application itself ? Any help is appreciated.

Hey guys, I am going to be turning 21 on July 4th and wanted to visit japan some time during July to celebrate, anyone know anything fun I can or should do during my visit?

I'll be visiting Japan for 17 days starting October 2nd. My plan so far is to stay in Tokyo for 4 days and then travel across the country. I bought a Japan Rail Pass which allows me to take almost any train in the country so I'm basically free to go whereever. It's my first time being in Japan so I'm not entirely sure if I'm missing out on something important in my preparations. I can speak basic Japanese, read kana and a few kanji and I also have a dictionary on my tablet if necessary so communication should be managable. I also downloaded the openstreetmap for Japan so I shouldn't get lost even when there is no wifi available.

What I'm looking for are suggestions as for what to do and where to go in the country, I'm fairly flexible. Rather than plan everything in advance I'll just move around via train and stay in hostels at a short notice. Some places I already plan to check out are Fujisan, Himeji Castle, the old town of Kyoto, Akihabara, Shibuya, and a nice Onsen somewhere (if they let foreigners in)

I'm open for any suggestions and discussion and would appreciate help if you think I've forgot something important or if there's something I need to know before going to Japan.
