This may have held true in the past, but humans have a way of doing whatever the fuck we want, just because we can, which a lot of the time involves throwing aside those biological imperatives.

Right now reproduction without sex, without a man's sperm, is possible (somatic cell nuclear transfer). Not tomorrow, but today. In fact over a decade ago, public knowledge. And who knows what is actually being done behind the scenes.

So why should we, as humans who are capable of breaking these walls biology have arbitrarily placed on us, continue to honour them?
