I think it is even better to spank the girls into submission if they're conscious about it. Not only it means that the tears are genuine, but it also means that they still feel the humiliation of being punished like kids by a lowly human meat bag.
Plus it get boring if they become blank.

And I totally agree with the "touhou has too many good girls" part. Between Sekibanki, Suwako, Nue and Chen, there are so many cute girls with short skirts.
