The caged children assessment of the situation may be inaccurate as the metas are young women now. You may think that they are bubbly cat girls wanting to be set free to share with you their wonderfulness, but those are the metas YOU want and you feel you are being denied of. They may be old enough to see what they're doing as a job. They may be old enough to grasp what they're doing is part of a collaborative effort that feeds the families of those in the foreground and the many unmentioned and essential behind the scenes. Perhaps the weight of the responsibility means more to them than a few arbitrary rules. If you loved them so much, you aught to give them more credit.
