She would damn well know that something funny was up,and might even suspect that the only man to pay any sort of attention to the weird midget in the woods outside of when she's helping Reimu might actually quite like her.
Unfortunately for her, she has a huge inferiority complex from comparing herself to the shrine maiden all the time.
It's not that she doesn't know, it's that she doesn't think herself deserving of a loving husbando.
That cute smile of her's hides a dark trauma, one gained from years of playing total second fiddle in everything she does, from magic to incident resolvation. Not to mention she ran away from her home to pursue magic in the first place, so the fact that she sacrificed so much to be fairly limited in her sorcery must weigh down on her pride a lot.
Do you think she enjoys having her signature spells be ones she stole from The Forbidden One and Yuuka? You think her justifications of having "improved" it and the fact that she's able to pull it off at all are anything more than another layer of lies she tells the world to bring her some comfort from the fact that all in all she's a pretty mediocre magician?
