Alright, I think I finally cracked the code on date forgiveness. It wasn't easy, because the code seriously looks like it was written by a schizophrenic monkey, where like 90% of the code either does nothing, is utterly incoherent, or just written in the absolute worst possible way imaginable. Gems in general are absolute garbage in how they're handled in this game, but this is seriously something else in just how impossibly retarded it all is. I can only imagine this was copypasted from a completely different game and then never looked at or used by anyone.

In the end, from what I could decipher, the *only* thing that matters is having at least half the Favor Gems needed to reach the next level of Intimacy. Of course, since Favor gems are only dispensed at the end of a day, the actual date doesn't mean jack shit, and this can only trigger on a day where you already have the needed gems. The mechanism is just impossibly backwards in every way.
