Plutia anon again, I wanted to give you guys some information about how the order process went for me.

When you order a custom doll, what you are actually paying for is for them to give an existing model custom paint, eyes, and hair. They do not create a new head for your waifu, from what I can tell. Usually this translates fine, but if you have a waifu with an unusual style, face shape, or expression, your doll may end up looking more like they were "inspired by" the character rather than being that character. To get a better idea about if you'd be happy with how your waifu translates to 3D, you can look at examples of their custom work here:

After I sent them my reference pictures and paid for the order, it took 6 days for them to send me a mock-up image. They pick out the best head for your doll themselves. Maybe if you really insisted on a certain head they would roll with it, but I'm not sure. Ask about this first if you're super autistic about wanting to use a certain head.

They draw the design onto the doll's head on the computer before they actually paint the doll. This design is going to look a little different from the actual paint job, most notably, the bright white in the eyes is going to be more of an off white on the doll, and the mock-up is obviously going to look "flat". What you want to pay attention to is the eyebrows, eye lines, eye design, blush pattern, and lips.

This is the point where you'd ask for a modification if you're unhappy with their interpretation. However, if you just have small doubts about a detail or feel wishy washy, I would honestly recommend just going with their design. They know what they're doing.

After the mock-up image was sent to me, I got the factory photos in 3 days, but it can take up to another 7 days to get them.
