Yes, KKS were originally recruited because they needed stand-ins for theater shows when members had outside work and getting the full team together was becoming difficult, and then they would be promoted to teams when members graduated.

In Nogizaka... where would you be promoted? There's no theater shows that would need extras, either. Are they going to have セレクション審査 for members they've already introduced on Nogidoko and whatnot? At least I don't get any tone of risk from the management concerning the full membership of 2nd gen, though who knows, NGZK management really can't handle media/PR stuff so maybe they forgot to tell us that they could be kicked out.

Honestly, starting to call them KKS sounds like an afterthought from the management.
