I get what you mean. I just really love the sound of the mellotron and my friend showed me a method in which you can get VSTs to play midi files as opposed to basic soundfonts. I think a lot of the early (i.e prog era) Moogs were monophonic, and I've tried applying monophonic VSTs to the UN Owen midi and it doesn't sound that good.
I used a free, open source music making program called LMMS, which is a very good program. It is to FL Studio as GIMP is to Photoshop. Here is where I found my VST, I used the Redtron 400 specificaly:

A lot of people talk about how great of a composer ZUN is and about all the good songs from Touhou, but are there any songs do you dislike? Are there any arranges that you enjoy more than the original?

Too late, I've already got an account and about 150 pictures in my favorites. Anyway, if I had an account on Danbooru or Gelbooru, it'd be really weird to see porn pictures I have in my favorites right next to cute, happy pictures.
