Oh, I know what you mean. Buying a digital game can feel like you didn't actually buy anything because it's all data. As if you wasted your money when you could've just pirated it.

I refuse to support censorship, no matter how "insignificant", so I would never buy the steam releases. And this bit of censorship is pretty significant for me because I feel personally attacked when something is censored for being "too pedo". I don't want to give any money to SJWs or moralfags, I'm fed up with their bullshit and they can go to Hell.

But I have a ton of Higurashi merchandise, so I'm still supporting Ryuukishi in a way. And I wouldn't mind buying a physical copy of the original Japanese release if I had the money to spare. He's one of the few authors I genuinely respect as a person.
