Story is getting really high-stakes this time around too. TAKTO says this was planned to be the final Prison Island event, and given that Mother a) is famous for spawning a lot of super-strong pests, b) was sealed in a similar way as Nidhoggr and c) might be much larger than expected (e.g. have the entire island on its back, given that the whole thing just pulled a Hellstar Remina and started swimming to the mainland), we may be transitioning into a Nidhogg-type swarm combat side event next week (alternatively, we may temporarily seal Mother with this event and have it return as a proper megapest later on?) We're also getting more background about the sages: Dain seems to be the magitech specialist to Kirk's inventor, having designed the pest seals, while Eda is... some kind of record keeper/shrine maiden, since the Lily Wood megapest is apparently a corrupted god, like how the regular pests are beneficial bugs that went berserk? Laeva is puppeteering the aqua shadows, Phos is the dedicated main character but doesn't have much information about her, and Bergamot/Kodaibana sages are currently not revealed (as far as I know, which is not very far). Still plenty of plot to go around here.

Also, something interesting from the wiki: All of the nanakusa girls belong to different nations now, with Stitchwort in Blossom Hill, Turnip in Lily Wood, Radish in Winter Rose, Water Dropwort in Banana Ocean, Jersey Cudweed in Bergamot Valley and Nipplewort in Lotus Lake... which leaves us with one last childhood friend and nation.
